One of the biggest reason why money is flowing into Singapore is because of the stable political and economic structure here. Singapore established a way for people with at least a required investment of $2.5 million, a path to be a permanent residence in Singapore. This is a perfect plan for migrating to Singapore for investor; Singapore Global Investor Programme.

Application is 10k, you will need to have 3 years of entrepreneurial experience and be willing to invest 2.5million in expanding or starting your business in Singapore. If you don’t have a business but you want to be a business owner, you can invest in my startup😅.
Besides, the normal costs: The application fee chargeable is SGD100 per applicant at the point of submission of PR application. Each successful applicant will also pay a $20 fee for the Entry Permit. The total fees payable for each successful PR applicant are therefore $120.
Warning: You must be careful; I assume there will be many scams operating under this section. EDB is legit, it is Singapore’s Economic Development Board; it was a setup to bring business into Singapore. Make sure it is not a phishing site.

Can I get Singapore citizenship by investment?
Let me sum it up, the Global Investor Programme (GIP), which was originally launched in 2004, with a focus on attracting foreign direct investments into Singapore. This scheme provides foreign investors with an opportunity to obtain permanent residence status in Singapore; eventually, a path to become citizens of Singapore. This is for your immediate family, which includes your spouse and unmarried children.
Under the Singapore Global Investor Programme (GIP), investors have a few different investment options to choose from. To be eligible for the GIP scheme, the eligibility criteria, foreign investors must make a minimum investment of S$2.5 million in any of the following:
– A new start-up company in Singapore
– An existing company in Singapore that is expanding its business operations
– A GIP fund that invests in Singapore-based companies (Not covered here)
How much do I need to invest in Singapore to get PR?
The first criteria under the GIP scheme offers established entrepreneurs with minimum of 3 years experience and required a minimum investment of S$2.5 million. Alternatively, make a minimum investment of S$2.5 million in a new business startup or existing business in Singapore. The business must also create at least 10 jobs for Singaporeans or permanent residents, or have at least $10 million in annual sales turnover.
These two options or great for those who are looking for a more hands-on approach; they can choose to invest in a startup. If you have an existing business plan and you want to start a new business entity, this option gives them the chance to be more involved in the company’s development and growth.
Note: Investors who are interested in applying for the GIP should consult with an experienced immigration lawyer to ensure that they meet all the eligibility requirements.
Application Procedure
The best way is to go to the main source. Again, click here for the link. Also, you must be all right with your male children serving in the national service; this is the mandatory military or civil service once your child reached 18 years old. The other drawback is that Singapore doesn’t allow dual citizenship. This program is for permanent residence in Singapore, but you never know what will happen eventually. I think these two criteria will be difficult for some people.
